Gaza Blockade
PROTECT YOUR AKHIRAH WITH SADAQAH
The Gaza Strip is a war-ravaged, poverty-stricken area, locked into 365 square kilometers and living under a tight illegal blockade on land, air and sea, which entered its tenth year in June 2016. The blockade, in addition to recurrent armed violence and conflict, today remains the principle causes of the socio-economic and psychosocial crisis in Gaza. The restrictions on movement of people and goods continue to collectively punish the civilian population, affecting every aspect of life in Gaza, undermining the local economy and threatening the enjoyment of most human rights, in clear violation of Israel’s legal obligations under international law. In addition, since restrictions have been imposed by the Egyptian authorities from June 2013 onwards, also the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt remains closed except for a few days per year.
But what does it mean to live under a blockade? During June 2016, UNRWA shares the stories of Jihad, Amjad, Hayam and Salwa and their everyday struggle to make ends meet: Jihad needs to search through the rubble from the devastating 2014 conflict to find steel and stones to sell in the local market; fisherman Amjad often returns from the Gaza sea to his family with empty hands due to the heavy access restrictions that led to the disruption of livelihoods and a dramatic decrease in the fish catch; Hevam and her sick son Ali are desperately waiting for a permit from Israel to leave Gaza and get medical treatment; and for Salwa and her family, running water is just a far off dream.

MAY ALLAH HELP PEOPLE OF GAZA
Charity People 2 People partnered with Sanabil Al Nasr Charity Organization in Gaza during Ramadan 2022. We recorded over 1000 families in extreme poverty who are deprived of basic human needs.
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam. We have been feeding the poor from our ummah since 2016. However, we noticed that their condition did not improve. Therefore we came up with an idea to give them jobs, so they can provide for their families and stamp out of poverty.
In Oct 2022 we are launching animal farm project in Gaza. In shaa Allah! We plan to purchase male and female goats and expand the farm within the next year. We will hire one person from each household of people in need to work on the farm. They will work for salary and feed their families.
A farm of 35 animals will provide jobs for 10 families. Average household for each family is 8 people. So we can change lives of 80 people. As the farm grows, more workers will be hired.
Other benefits of the farm: distribution of the meat to the needy and generating money from selling livestock. We will spend the money on the ones who suffer the most in our ummah. The elderly and the orphans who are not able to work and provide for themselves.

We have accomplished several projects in Gaza in 2022. Our intention is to help the Muslims who suffer from hunger, abuse, sickness and extreme poverty. We work for the sake of Allah. Allah is All Hearing and All Knowing.

Project Canceled
ALLAH IS THE DECISION MAKER
Unfortunately, we had to cancel the barn construction project due to ongoing war between Palestine and Israel. The heavy attack from Israel that started on 10/7/2023 destroyed many buildings and forced civilians to move from North Gaza to South Gaza.
However, we were able to partner with local organization Healing Our Homeland and deliver emergency relief in form of: food packs, diapers and baby formula; to the people during the attack in October 2023.
May The Almighty protect the people of Gaza.
