Build water well in Africa | Prices and details

Sometimes, there is no need to build a new borehole. There are many broken water wells in Africa. Charity People 2 People offers opportunity to repair a broken well and provide clean drinking water to the community. Average village population where repairs are needed is around 200-400 people. We work primarily in Uganda. This project will repair 1 manual water well with a hand pump. Also, there are also add-ons to the repair that you might like to add. For example, we can build a cemented stand with a dua and name(s) of a donor or family members in whose names this well was repaired. There is lots of leftover water on the ground while people use a hand pump. Therefore, we practice building a water stock and a small pond to collect the excessive water. Villagers then use it to feed their livestock and for domestic needs. To attract more villagers on the water well grand opening day, we usually distribute bread loafs and new 5 gallon water bottles.

Electric water wells are usually built in the areas close to the city where electricity is available. If the donor plans to build an electric water well in the rural area that has no electricity, additional generator must be bought. Finally, we build the cemented electric well structure with metal faucets around and tiles.

Plastic poster with a dua and name(s) of a donor or family members in whose names this well was built is included in the price.
